DOULA / EDUCATOR / COACH

Early parenthood doesn’t just pass through us – it stays with us. It shapes how we trust ourselves, how we make decisions, and how we carry our confidence long after the newborn days are over.

I believe deeply that how you experience pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood matters – not just in the moment, but in three months, three years, and thirty-three years’ time.

My work exists to make sure those experiences leave you feeling grounded, powerful, and connected to yourself – rather than rushed, diminished, or spoken over.

I’m passionate about home birth and physiological birth, yes. But more than anything, I care about you being at the centre of your experience – supported to make informed, embodied choices and to discover what an aligned birth and parenting journey looks like for you, not for a guideline, policy, or system.

How I came to this work

My doula story began long before I ever entered the birth world.

I spent over a decade as a director in a large advertising agencies, leading campaigns for brands like the BBC, Chester Zoo, and Poundland. Alongside that, I built a successful coaching practice supporting women to grow, lead, and trust themselves. On paper, life was good.

Then I became a mother – and something shifted.

Motherhood felt like being woken up from a long, polite dream. The pull to support women in a deeper, more meaningful way became impossible to ignore. My own experiences of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum were profoundly transformative – particularly my home birth with Baby S, where I experienced a depth of intuition and embodied power I didn’t know existed.

I knew, in my bones, that this was the work I was meant to do.

Three people, two women and one man, are sitting on the floor around a baby in a basket, smiling and playing with the baby, with a toy doll nearby and a plant in the background.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE ME

Becoming a doula wasn’t a career pivot – it was a return to purpose.

Since training, I’ve supported hundreds of families through antenatal education, birth, and the tender, often unseen postpartum days. My work blends deep emotional attunement with practical, evidence-based support and an unshakeable belief in your capacity.

Alongside my doula training with Doula UK and hypnobirthing training with Katherine Graves, I bring qualifications in life coaching and mental health wellness, as well as years of corporate-level communication, advocacy, and decision-making skills. Funily enough, these skills often come in handy when facing hospital power dynamics.

I’ve continued to expand my practice with CPD-accredited training in biomechanics, aromatherapy, breastfeeding, and holistic support. In 2025, I joined ZEST – the insurer for independent midwives – to upskill in those very rare emergency settings, and I now regularly work alongside independent midwives as a second.

What sets my work apart is not just what I know – it’s what I hold.

My personal experiences of powerful birth, breastfeeding challenges, miscarriage, loss, and walking alongside one of my children through life-threatening illness. They have shaped how I show up: steady, honest, deeply human, and unafraid of the hard edges.

How I work and who I am

I believe this work is relational. Human to human. Built on trust, safety, and genuine connection.

I care deeply about nervous systems, instinct, and realistic, responsive parenting rooted in biological normality. I value evidence and research – but I also honour intuition, context, and lived experience.

I invest heavily in my own wellbeing, mindset, and growth, because being a great doula requires more than knowledge – it requires presence. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outside with my dogs, my husband, and our three children, wandering the Peaks, swimming, lifting weights, practising yoga, or sitting in women’s circles. Trees feel like home.

Life as a parent is exhilarating, overwhelming, spectacular, and hard – sometimes all at once. This work lights me up in a way nothing else ever has. It feels less like a job and more like a calling I’m continually being pulled deeper into.

Here’s what I wish everyone knew:

You aren’t a vessel.
Your baby isn’t a passenger.

You deserve care that sees you fully, honours your autonomy, and supports you to reclaim birth and early parenthood as the powerful rite of passage it truly is.

If you’d like to explore working together – or if you need something you don’t see listed – reach out. The right support can change everything, and you don’t have to do this alone.
